First 27 Passenger ADA Tram is a Success!

Moto Electric Vehicles released a new product a few months ago to the website. After many calls regarding our 28 passenger trams, one customer came to us with a special request. They needed a tram that had one wheelchair position available for their physically challenged customers. As always, Moto Electric Vehicles looked at the project as an opportunity and charged a fair price. Along with the tram pictured, our customer also got a MotoEV Electro Bubble Buddy LSV 2 Passenger Utility Standard as well as a used 2009 EZ GO PDS that we had in stock. We got a phone call from their owners and they are very please. Feel Free to call Moto Electric Vehicles today with your ideas and customization! If you think an ADA Shuttle is what your organization needs to go green as well as meet the needs of the disabled, then we are your one stop shop! Happy Motoring :)

Noblesville Fire Dept Checks In with Moto Electric Vehicles

Noblesville Fire Dept Checks In with Moto Electric Vehicles

We got an email today from the Noblesville Fire Dept showing our 3 passenger EMS Rescue Buddy in action at their local High School Football game. According to the Captain, the vehicle was a hit and everyone was impressed with the unit's look and capabilities. Many parents felt as if the city was keeping safety in mind and they liked that the High School was  implementing an EMS Rescue team in stand by just like the college ranks and pro level would. Moto Electric Vehicles is happy to have Noblesville Fire Dept on board as a customer and we look forward to seeing more school's in their area requesting our vehicles!

NRG Energy Back In Court Over California Lawsuit Settlement

NRG Energy Back In Court Over California Lawsuit Settlement

Just when everyone thought that the decades-long argument between NRG Energy and the State Of California over price inflation for energy    contracts was settled, a new lawsuit has been filed against the energy provider.   Ecotality, a competing provider of electric vehicle charging stations, has filed a lawsuit claiming that the settlement is illegal and hurts consumers.    Ecotality says that the settlement will allow NRG to “become the default provider of charging stations throughout the state” by being “punished” to invest in building and installing its own products.  This, Ecotality claims, will give NRG Energy an unfair advantage in the electric vehicle charging station market. NRG Energy’s response?  "While we were not provided with a copy of the filing, NRG Energy is making a private investment in California that will build an EV infrastructure that will encourage EV adoption in the state and...

Dump The Pump

Dump The Pump

For the seventh straight year, Americans will celebrate Dump The Pump Day.  This year, the “holiday” falls on June 21, 2012. Started by the American Public Transportation Association as a way to get more people to ride public transit, the movement urges everyone to avoid buying gasoline for one day to raise awareness of alternative forms of transportation – particularly public transit. APTA says that not only does riding public transportation reduce your individual carbon footprint, but it also can save you money.  In fact, their figures indicate that a household that uses public transportation as a means of downsizing to just one vehicle can save more than $10,000.00 per year! We have an even better suggestion – make every day Dump The Pump Day – and buy a neighborhood electric vehicle (NEV) or low speed electric vehicle (LSV)!  These vehicles are fully electric and if you drive one, you’ll never have to pull up to a gas pump ag...
